MS Precision Racing Wheel and Squash Balls

I finally got my MS Precision Racing Wheel yesterday and immediatly followed
the advice that I had gained in here and bought myself a squash ball.

It definately helps to have half a squash ball under each pedal though it
does need quite a bit more pressure on the pedals.  Has anyone had any
reliability problems with their pedals because of doing this?

Anyway it's a great wheel and highly recommended to anyone like myself who
cannot afford a FF setup.

Why do you want a sqashball under your throttle pedal ?

I have a very stiff spring under the brake pedal, no problems to report
after several months hard usage.

I returned my (FF) wheel as it developed slack in the steering after 11
months, got a credit note and bought a LWFF with it. Like most people on
this ng I prefer the action of the LWFF (the MSFF was slow to accept
opposite lock) and it doesn't hit the fps the way the MSFF does. I've still
got the MS pedals so I'm going to try to connect them to the wheel.

Hehe.....now I think about it is a bit strange.  I obviously didn't read
previous posts properly and thought that people were putting one half under
each pedal:)  Silly old me!

Well I think it helps having it under the throttle pedal as it allows
smoother getaways in GPL.  You can squeeze the throttle and steadily build
the revs.  Without the half-ball I was often getting too many revs.
