I go to options and it says steer left then right well as  soon as I
steer left it has registered that as my complete input. I have tried
it with Wheel( linear) and Joystick checked. I also tried it with DX 7
and also they Papryus driver (which did not work at all.

Yes. I downloaded Directx 7a and now the wheel works but the pedals
still don't. I assigned the left and right flippers as the brake and
gas. I do not like this setup so if anyone has any ideas?

I think you have to choose the Nascar 2 profile in the sidwinder software
utility - you can then edit this profile.

Jake, did you already notice, that NASCAR3 has a rather *** way of
assigning your joystick axises as 'controler1' and 'controler2' axis 1 and
2?
Maybe you did not see this (I did not first). You have to calibrate the 2
controlers and then assign the axises.

I had this problem with my ms PP Usb non ff wheel after installing
win98 second edition which uses DX6.1a by default.I had previously been
using old win 98 with DX6.1 and it woked with N3 GPL Viper racing and
SCGT. Win 98 SE worked with non of the above and would not allow me to
downgrade to DX6.1. In your position having tried dx7 I would try
DX7.0a, and if that failed re-install an old version of win 98 (not the
SE) if you have that option.

I thought that it just recognized my wheel as a joystick and that
controlleer2 was my gamepad. I will try this thanks.

This might very well be the case, I guess then you would have to remove the
gamepad from the control panel, so NASCAR3 won't find it.
Maybe it would also help to assign it as Controler 9 or something?
Please let me know, what you find out, I'm also interested in this topic.

Inorder to use your MSFF wheel, you have to setup a profile for it. Just
pickout any two keys for the brake and throttle. Then when you setup your
profile, you will be able to substitute your throttle/brake pedals for those
two keys.

I have the non FF wheel and you can't assign keys too the pedals only
the buttons and two flippers behind the wheel. Any way it is working
now. It was tthe two controller setup as Zolli here suggested. Thanks
to  Zolli. It did recognize my game pad as controller 2 as soon as I
disabled it (just turned it off MS idewinder) it recognized the pedals
as C2 and calibrated them and worked perfectly. I would like to thank
everyone for there help.

BTW I forgot who posted and suggested Direct x 7a but that was very
helpful also.

Now I need to practice so that maybe I can race online against some of
you guys.
