I am going to await the final release of the stand-alone N2003 converter
but, in the interim, could someone please advise as to how the AI behaves on
circuits like the 'Ring and Spa?

Also, is it - or will it become - possible to convert third-party circuits
such as Bathurst? Or Rheims? (The latter would be almost like a VERY long
Pocono! :) )

Thank you.

Bruce.

There's a track creating tool in the making, as well as a good number of
other nifty tools, if someone doesn't convert it, it can be made from
scratch in the "not too distant" future, along with just about any other
track you could possibly want, have a look through our forums and I
think you'll be pleased with how things are progressing

Thanks, Goy.
Any info on how AI behaves at my two favourite circuits?

Bruce.

Nope....sorry, I've yet to run Spa myself (sacrilige I know) and only a
handful laps at The Ring due to lack of time.....I also lost a couple of
weeks when my PC was stolen, but that's another story

The ai behave pretty well at Spa.  not too sure about the Ring.  But one
prob.  They don't qual.  Not enough time.
So you can do one lap and get pole.  or bypass qual and start at the back of
the grid.

Aaaah! Right - thanks, Steve.
Well, if the AI has to be upped to 90% to prevent them blasting off into
space then maybe, just maybe, if I'm the only one to qualify then I could
have a chance of at least getting a place! :)

On Sat, 31 May 2003 10:16:42 +1000, "Steve Whitty" <stev_mazz at

Then set the following parameter in the track.ini...

; special stalls
stall_qual_exit = 10400.00 -1.00 0.0

to the above value.  You'll have more than enough time to
qualify (as will the AI).

As for behavior, nothing really different than what you
might see at another roadie.  They often seem oblivious
to your presence, esp. when following you into a braking
zone-beware then as they may easily punt you into the
wall. I am much quicker at some corners than they,
while they easily beat me at others.  >shrug<
