How does one make their own tracks?

>How does one make their own tracks?

From scratch?  If you can do it, you'll be the first.  All "new"
tracks out there are based on existing tracks.

If you're interested in track editing, you've probably got to do a lot
of research.  I'd start with playing with utilities found at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/***world.com for example.

Well, I found a programme that will let me change the banking of a track,
but that's it.  I want to be able to convert and change a track.  I know I
ran across this once, with step by step directions, but now I cannot find
it.

Not anymore, tracks like Desert Winds for N3; Pantsring, Pantsring, O-ring,
and Brands Htach for GPL are all new tracks...

There is also file format information at Sim***world's BB&B section for
many, if not all, of the files you will find in the ICR2 dat.

This is fine, but I'm one of the odd old dinosaurs that is really only
interested in ICR2 (for now).  Am I wrong to say there is no way to
convert N3/NL/GPL tracks to ICR2?  Perhaps I am wrong, and will be
glad to be instructed otherwise.

I can't say about the newest tracks like Desert wind, but we had a
utility from the uspits that allowed us to convert N99 tracks to ICR2.
I'm thinking the N3 tracks "should" be possible...I'll try and check it
out...email me and remind me if you don't hear back by this weekend.

uspits doesn't seem to have a CART section.
