Updated ICR2 Track Spreadsheets

by Chris Drak » Mon, 01 Apr 1996 04:00:00

I have just completed an update to my Indycar2 sreadsheets. The major
change is the addition of Time VS Distance charts. With these you can
determine how long it takes you to get through any given turn. By
comparing this you can judge how your driving line is stacking up
against others. In addition to this I made several minor cosmetic
changes to the charts.

I have sent the file to both Jed at The Pits and Yogi. However, after
reading Jed's last message I wouldn't expect it to show up there any
time soon. If you are interested in the file I expect it will first be
available on Yogi's web page at

http://www.racesimcentral.net/:8000/~y0m9698/game.html

I may not have made it clear in past posts, but these spreadsheets will
also work for saved NASCAR replays on the converted Indycar2 tracks.

I am now working on spreadsheets for the NASCAR tracks and expect to
have these competed in the next couple of weeks. Again these will work
for saved Indycar2 replays run on the converted NASCAR tracks. I will
post when these are ready.

I finished uploading it.  It is available as of now.
Some of you might have trouble connecting to my web page.  Http server
runs on University's Unix machine, and since it is a big school, it runs
real slow during day time here.  If you want to get fast connection, try
it during night time (US central standard time zone).

I've downloaded them, and I opened them up in Excel, they certainly
look impressive... however, I don't really know what to do with them!

I've already got editrpy3.2, and it works great. So far the best thing
it does for me is allow me to paste two or three laps in to the same
lap, so I can see where I gained and lost time next to another lap.
I've plotted some laps, but that isn't too useful for me now. I figure
what I needed was what you've provided to put everything in context.

So, how do I get a lap in to your spreadsheet? I'm using excel, but
have not ever used it before. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to pull these up in old fashioned Lotus 123, can someone save these
as an earlier version and e-mail them to me? Please? Thanks in advance...

Is Excell 5.0 fine for you, or would you like me to save them for
Excell 4.0 Workbook?  E-mail me and let me know what you want.
I am not planning to send these out by e-mail, so please don't ask.
