1. Has anyone developed a method for loading ICR2 tracks in the NASCAR sim?

2. Possible methods would include...?

Well, I know it's possible the other way round (ie. using NASCAR tracks
in ICR2).  If anyone knows how I can use tracks like Road America and
Elhart Lake with NASCAR please let me know!  Combine these circuits
with the excellent British Touring Car Championship car set I
downloaded from The Pits, and I may even start blowing the dust off of
my NASCAR racing CD!

O.K. Dave, less of the brown nosing.

If anyone knows the e-mail address of Gehard, the guy who created the
utility then let me know. He says in the TXT file that he's looking at
doing on.

I think it'll probably help a lot more series start up, especially in
Europe where raod courses are the norm and were all pretty naff at
ovals! ;-)

Yeah, me too!! I spent hours creating the BTCC carset for the Pits [with the greatly
appreciated help of Jed, in fact Jed did more than me!!] and I can only use them on
Watkins Glen. I am getting to grips with the new ICR2 tracks and it would be superb to
check out how the saloons handle on them! Please, please, please!!

Wonderful job you did too......made me blow some dust off Nascar.

Judging by how ICR2's go around the Glen compared to my previous Nascar
attempts, they won't handle on any real circuit. Getting a Chevy through
the corkscrew at Laguna or around Lexington is a frightening thought!!!

And from me. please, please, please. Is Gerhard (author of Ncar2ICR)
there?

Cheers!

To remove the plate at Talladega you need to edit the talagega.txt file.
On the line marked "SPDWY 1 42 45" change the one to a zero.  You will
also need to edit the "RELS" line so that the AI cars will be able to
keep up.  Making this value somewhere near 115 to 120 should do the
trick.

I've come across several references about removing the restrictor plate
to increase speeds on the super-speedways.  Could someone please tell

This is for you Dave, where can I d/l the extra car sets you have?  I am
especially interested in the Touring Cars and Formula One CarSets for
ICR/ICR2/NASCAR.  I don't have www access and the only gp site I know of
is didnt.doit.wisc.edu.  Are there ftp sites where I can d/l these
carsets.

If that doesn't evoke any sympathy.  How about this.  I'm working on
contract about 600miles from home in a small town, and I've left my CH
Flightstick at home.  ICR2 on Keyboard is not for the squeamish!
