Any particuliar reason we should jump right now and install Direct X 9.0?

No, it's back as of yesterday (Wed.) evening.  They musta found something
wrong and applied a quick fix.

More dope: the first DX9.0a upgrade (the one that MS yanked) was
incompatible with ATI Catalyst 3.1 drivers...altho not incom. with the 3.2s.
The one that's up now is okey-dokey with both (but I doubt that it was
checked with Omega's Radeon drivers).  Just so's you know.
