When I start GPL with DirectX 7.0A installed, I get the 3DFX spash
screen and then a blank screen/system hang. Whats up? I'm using the
latest drivers for my card(Voodoo 3000 AGP). Running 1.1.0.3 of
GPL.exe. I ran GPL under DirectX 6 without problems. Help please!

Turn your resolution and number of colours in windows right down before
going into the game, it won't effect the game and it won't hang the game....

Problem solved! Well I hop it is

When does this happen. Do you race via WinVROC? I have noticed that
after I have raced online and I try to start GPL to practice (and modem
is still online from WinVROC connection) it lags for atleast 10secs
while it looks for a multiplayer connection on my ISDN TA.

Cloud be doing this to you as well.

Well I have corrected my problem. I thought I had the latest3dfx drivers,
but I was one behind.. I had 1.03.04.... I downloaded 1.03.05 last
night. I installed 1.03.05, then reinstalled DirectX 7.0A, threw in the
GPL 1.2 patch for good measure(sounds like a cookbook), and life is good
again... Seeya in the turns!
