: Na. I've got a 486DX/33 8MB ram and I can get a decent frame rate. Main hint
: for running NASCAR on a 386 or low end 486: running it with the -f switch to
: turn off digitized sounds. It saves a lot of CPU overhead.
Oh, I don't know. Maybe the demo version (all that I have SO FAR) runs
faster than the full version, but on my 386-33 it runs smooth. Granted,
with all detail on auto most everything stays off, and if I try stereo
instead of mono sound it dogs badly, but in mono Soundblaster 8-bit and
VGA it's smoother on my system than Indycar, and I was happy with that.
I have a Cirrus 1 meg card and 8 meg of ram
Just my .02
