F1 2000 problems

Hello,

Thanks to this NG I can now run F1 2K (it was a video drivers something...)

But, but, but everytime I hit a wall the game crashes, is it the extra
realism touch like 'you are dead I go back to Windows' ?

Is this a known problem that I can fix easily or must I download a patch ?
by the way where can i get some patches and updates for this ?

Thx a lot

PS 1.29.33 at monza 10 days ago, ONLINE, first time ever under the 1.30 and
in an online practice.....

one down and hopefully one more to go....

This appears to be a problem with the FF wheel's drivers (specifically
with the Guillemot wheel).  Some have gone back to the original drivers
which came with the wheel (scrapping the updated version).  I was able
to turn off damage and still use the FF without crashing back to the
Windows desktop (but we all want damage don't we <G>).

oooops more than one more to go..... I let the real experts deal with
this one...

% Thx a lot

Michael is right, if you are using the Guillemot wheel, my guess is that you
are using the revised 1.23 version of their drivers. The problem goes away
if you remove these and go back to the original drivers on the CD you got
with the wheel.
