Does anybody else find it strange to drive it into the corner deep and
try to pass the 24 car on the outside, only to have your spotter "Jeff
Gordon" tell you "Car Low.... Keep High... Keep High...Still there...".
Maybe he could say "Dont Wreck Me" also...
Thats my 2 cents. I think the rest of the game is a blast, and still
running, and making set ups so I can run a season on the game.
I only wish they could have had Buddy Baker do some spotter sound bytes.
It just doesnt sound right to have someone else that is "driving" the
race spot for you.

The spotter is Scott Sanford, Buddy would have been cool.

It's not Jeff, although it sounds remarkably like him.

Thanks for the info on Jeff Stanford... I think I can relax just a
little now... but I still think he sounds rediciously close to Jeff
Gordon.

Worse than that, try being the only one on the track and it keeps
screaming "Stay low or  keep high or 'there's a spin right in front of
you' etc. when there isn't anyone else out there? I guess this is just
another 'feature'.

Now I know what Ron Gaines felt like when N2 came out and everyone called
him Ned Jarrett.:-(  I am also getting real sick of the Jeff Gordon jokes at
work.<G>

A good idea might be, in the future, to offer the opportunity to make
our own spotter files and then choose between them, or possibly do 2
or more different voices and choose.

I'm just used to the deeper voice and style of N99's spotter...
maybe someone will make a patch that can put it in N3?

Sanford!!"

It's really not that difficult to use your own, you just have to
unpack and sound.dat and re-record like 500 or so messages.

Just a wild guess, but Buddy would have cost Papyrus more money, and Scott
was on salary.
