NR2002 Same Annoying Spotter Volume Problem from N3!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that "N5" has the same irritating spotter sound volume
problem as N3 had.  That is, if you adjust the engine so that it sounds good
(and it is good this time), you can't hear the spotter.  If you adjust the
spotter so you can hear him, the engine sounds like a motorised scooter
engine.

I am adjusting the sounds in the game and the relative sounds in the
player.ini file.  Why the latter even exist is a mystery to me.  The sliders
in the game should do everything.

P.S. I may have led myself somewhat astray by trying the 3D sound option,
which apparently only makes sense if you have surround sound speakers.  The
engine sound disappears completely at higher rpms if you don't.

Could someone copy and paste the sound sections from their player.ini file
so I can go back to the defaults and try again.  It is not on the CD-ROM.

However, there is still no reason I can think of to have a "hidden" layer of
sound controls beyond the sliders in the menu.  They have 100 increments
each and should allow plenty of balancing control.

Thanks,

Marc

Sorry, I have been working too many long hours recently.  I just crated a
new player in the game and took the settings from the new player.ini that
was created.  It was my playing around with the 3D that caused the problem.
The default settings require only minor tweaking in the game slider panel
screen to satisfy my picky tastes and the default settings will be fine for
most people.

I even catch myself talking to myself lately...
