I am getting a *** "crackling-staticy" sound over the top of my spotter.  I
have tried the one with the game and an addon one..you can hear but it is
fuzzy.  Other sounds all seem fine.  Using an AOpen 850 card with the newest
drivers I could find...anybody have any suggestions?

Yep, wait for the patch like the rest of us. You've been chosen, like me, to
beta test Papy's newest Nascar game.  Fuggin sux but its a known and common
sound issue.

Here's a few things to try..........

In your Core.ini file under [sound] 'force_default_buffer_size=0
change the 0 to 6.

Try turning off 3d sound.

Set "Max sounds played" to 8.
