I'm doing 1:16.5 here, 2002 Ferrari(low TC only). I can't help with
your speed much, maybe send me a lap and I'll compare? Forget the AI,
they do the same laptimes I do right now, but the rythm they have is
nothing like what my car can do. If I run 50 metres behind them I run
in the back of them at some point on the track and on other parts they
just rocket off in the distance. The AI is totally track dependent(it
was much much worse in F1 2002), so their speed can vary wildly from
track to track. There were some excellent AI-updates for F1 2002,
though, don't remember the name of who made them, but they were really
truly great. Hopefully he'll make some for F1C aswell.

A Team Redline offering normally sorts the setup side out
You doing 20 laps correctly will be better than 200 laps incorrectly.

Don't be afraid to bin it if its no good - this is only my second modern F1
track since GP2. I'm just trying to return the favour someone did for me at
Hockenheim.

What do you consider 'correctly'?

I was merely pertaining to the need of correct line and braking points.
Added to a very good setup you feel you can then put the laps in and get to
your own peak.
This before you ask is in comparison to Huttu's peak which is bigger than
Everest.

Coming up the hill I'm on the far left and then I cut across so that just
before the turn I'm on the far right and parallel with the kerb. I then give
a sharp dab of the brakes and clatter down 3 gears almost at once. I aim to
keep just the two outside wheels on the tarmac. At the apex, revs are still
high and I feed more throttle quickly but smoothly. The amount I feed in
depends on how well I set up the turn - too wide and I feed less in and
vice-versa. The aim id to be on full acceleration over the outside rumble
strip without touching the grass. Check your setup allows a really sharp
turn in with a very quick chassis set to get the power back on.
Probably didn't help much but in truth I think this is one of the more
'instinctive' turns on the track.
