F1C Hungaroring

I think the throttle is the key. Even with just 20% differential
lockup the car pushes a fair bit in fast corners with the throttle on.
At a fast corner turn-in I try to control the push with the throttle,
first I lift quite a bit to get the car to the apex, stabilise the gas
mid corner, and then mash to push the car out to the kerb.

Pretty basic stuff, but it's pretty much the opposite of what you do
in GPL, isn't it? At least I how I drove GPL.

I just hit 1.18.0xx this morning with only low tc and clutch. I've
notice though that hungaroring GP4 conversion is a much better driving
experience and from people's comments i've gathered it is modeled alot
better than the one from EA, primarily due to their use of GPS data
from the real tracks. I had much more fun and could do easily
1.15.6xx. I feel i can still manage to cut off at least 1.5sec from
the F1C track. Downloaded a vcr replay from someone who did a 1.15.6xx
(no aids) from f1rst hotlapping, but noticed he runs to much on grass
which imho is cheating. Go figure.

It would be nice though that i could compare telemetry with others,
but have yet to find where to dowload it from. It's still nice though
to be able to see the replay files from hotlaps in f1rst.

I have uploaded a replay and setup of my 1:15.6xx using low TC if that's any
help.

Great setup Ian.  Thank you!  The gearing was a tad tall for me and Im
thinkin about maybe stiffining the springs a tad as well.  Them kerbs are
still kinda rough :)

I heading out to holiday at Yosemite till friday so Ill watch the replay
when I return.

Thanks again.

Mitch

You might try here.

There is a link for Hungary01 which I believe is the track they are talking
about. I have not tried it myself, so I'm not sure if it works in F1C.

There is a guide somewhere in
http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~hg/forum/viewforum.php?f=61&sid=72fd8d35...
343658e3f0659747e where they tell you how to make that track work in F1C,
matter of fact any f12k2 track. Use the search function in high gear forums.
