Indeed, while there may not be nearly so much passing in F1 as in
IndyCar/IRL, there is the breathtaking performance of the F1 cars to marvel
at and the e***ment of how on edge the cars always seem to be- always
like they are within 1mm of every limit. IndyCars tend to look more stable
and less impressive.

Agreed, but the spectator base for the ALMS is a little sparse compared to
NASCAR and CART / IRL.

I've seen them both, and the difference is noticeable.  But I would like to
see them on the same circuit... at the same time :)

like to

germany at the end of season mercedes

Well I concede that picking this off deja, I might have read your post out
of context not having seen the whole thread.

The fact remains that since joining this group, your main preoccupation
seems to have been to bash GPL and its "desciples" at every opportunity.
Your last post seems to imply that we are all to be pidgeon holed with the
same caracature. There are zealots in all walks of life my friend. Anyway,
there's no point in further flaming or falling out over such trivia is
there.

IMO, most of the trolling done in this newsgroup is done by GPL fans.
They seem to get distraught when the tables are turned. *Shrug*

Most of them have a well developed sense of humor. They got the jokes
and thought the post was funny. Some folks just seem to have their
underwear on a bit too tight, I guess. (Those of you who do not wear
underwear need not post. More than we wanted to know).

i dont think when the back end slides under power in n3 that its because of
wheelspin... i think that the model only forces the car to slide because of the
weight transer to the outside rear wheel (too much slip angle)

on the other hand we all know that wheel spin is modeled in gpl (duh!)

try holding the throtle down in n3 when your car starts to spin off of the
corner... you cant keep the wheels spinning like in gpl (and a modern cup car
makes alot more power, even though its also quite a bit hevier)

IMHO modern stock cars arent very advanced... i think they are basicly using 30
year old (or older) technology in the chassis only with the aid of aero

maybe the brm plus 2000 lbs would feel like a modern stock car :)

I'm in that rare "weird" mood today so...

You can't "put" your underwear on too tight, unless you wear a belt around your
underwear.

You either buy the underwear too tight, or you gain weight after buying the
underwear to the point where they get too tight.  My case is the latter.
However I don't "put" them on that way, it's just the way it is everytime I put
mine on.  I suppose I could just go buy a whole new set of "bigger" underwear,
but it goes against my "wear them till the holes in them get too big"
philosophy.  If I'm lucky, the elastic will start wearing out and they'll no
longer be too tight.  Of course then I may need to start wearing a belt around
them and then that's the only time I would have a choice of "putting" them on
too tightly.  Of course, all of this is fiction and I'm just having fun... ;-)

Last day before a long weekend always gets me in this funny mood.
