Linear/non-linear steering

What this exactly means? I don't feel any difference while racing. I
use V3 Interact driving wheel and pedals with NASCAR Racing.

As I understand it, the more Linear the steering the more sensitive it is
to small movements near the center point...

The more non-linear you set it the more "dampened" the steering is with
small movements...

So if you find yourself fish-tailing up a straight you need it more
non-linear,
but if it feels sluggish on a straight you need more linear.....

100% linear means that the wheel is totally direct in its inputs, whereas
with a
non-linear setup the wheel gets more accurate the further you turn it.....

Now everything should be as clear as mud!
