linear of non linear steering?

Hi all,

I am using a really cheap joystick, and I was wondering what
the difference is between linear and non linear steering.

What should I use, for Indycar, Indycar2, and F1GP?

I read that nonlinear makes a steering wheel a little less
sensitive near the middle of the rotation, but will it
have any effect with the joystick?

please email or post an answer.

linear of non linear steering?

says...

Linear steering gives a constant rate of travel from center to endpoint. non
linear is less sensitive near the center and gets more sensitive towards the
endpoints. This is preferrable for joysticks because steering wheels have
longer travel than joysticks. Using linear steering on a joystick would
probably make the car way to twitchy.
