original ran at 60fps and most other quality console racers like Gran
Turismo 3,4 etc run at 60fps.
Don't let it happen.

Petition? Just dont buy it. Not that hard is it?

OK, so if GPL2 was annouced and was to be locked at 10fps, you'd just say
'Oh well' and not buy it?
10 FPS ? I wouldn't download it for that ;)
Really, why did you suddenly switch from 30 FPS to 10 ? I believe GPL is
locked at something like 36 FPS and that's fine. Stable framerates are
possibly more important than fluctuating "fast" framerates. I know if you're
getting 60-70 fps at a particular track in Nascar 2003, your frame rate will
occasionally flicker down into the 30's and the change is very noticeable.
It's not so bad to have a constant FPS, especially in multiplayer.
Project Gotham ran at a **constant** 60fps, as does Gran Turismo 3, as does
F355 Challenge on Dreamcast. 36fps is playable but it's not good or even
fine. It's like comparing Vinyl to CD, FM to AM etc. etc. - there's always
people who just don't get it. :-\

Why reply then, idiot?

Don't know about Project Gotham, I only played it once on a m8's X-Box, but
if GT3 was running at a constant 60 FPS I'll have to eat my *** shorts !
There is very noticeable slowdown sometimes in GT3.
What "it"don't I get ?
And where is the article/e-mail that states the frame rate will be cut ?
There must be some valid reason it's happening. It's like i.d saying Q4 will
run at 60 fps , but just for the hell of it we'll make the poor consumers
play it at 30fps ? Nonsensical.
Really? That he doesn't care? That's great - I'll reply to all future
threads that I don't care about with "I don't care"
OK, GT3 does stutter when there's lots of cars on screen but hey, it is a
PS2.
That high constant framerates greatly improve playability and realism -
moreso than increased detail.
Bizarre Creations stated it on their own web site forums.
Basically they're going to be using a ridiculously high number of polygons
for the cars. GTR 2002 proved that you don't need many polygons for awesome
looking car models. PG2 will feature roughly 3 times as many polygons per
car as GTR 2002 which is just ridiculous - done purely for screenshots in
magazines.
Personally, I do not mind the cut frame rate (which I probably will not even
notice) and will greatly love the enhanced graphics.
Especially if they decide to offer (no clue if they do or not for this game)
higher resolution for my big screen.

What, that vinyl is better than CDs? I knew that a long time ago!
