Problem: T2 and Nascar 2

Hi,
I recently purchased a Thrustmaster T2 and just got around to
setting it up today.  I set it up EXACTLY as the manual said (2 axes,
4 buttons, checked the driving game box.  I started with Pod and it
worked fine then I went to Interstate 76 and again it worked fine.
Finally, I got around to Nascar 2.  I followed the instructions in the
manual to the letter.  Calibrate joystick 1 by turning the wheel left
and right then press enter.  Calibrate joystick 2 by pressing both
pedals, one at a time then press enter.  Then I mouse click on
each control function to change it.  It picked the steering up fine,
but it does not see the pedals for some reason.  I tried numerous
times, but could not get it to use the pedals for gas and brakes.
Wound up using the little shifter for the gas and one of the red
buttons for brakes.

Any ideas why I am having this problem?  I am using the dos
installation from Windows 95.  I have recently upgraded my system to:

Pentium 200 MMX
32 mb edo ram
Matrox Mystique 4mb
Diamond Monster 3D
Soundblaster Awe 64 Gold

I also recently installed the OSR2 version of Windows 95 and coupled
with the strength of my system and the fact that the new Windows 95
seems to run dos games better, i see no further need to use dos.
Should I have installed the Windows 95 version via the "setup.exe"
or are both installations the same?  I get the feeling my problem is
coming from running the dos game in Windows, but I could be wrong.

Any ideas?

BTW, I have ran both patches for N2 so I'm up to date.

Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can offer.

Keith
