Configuring the T2 for NASCAR Racing

My wife bought me a T2 wheel and pedal set for Christmas.  I didn't have any
problem getting it set up to run the simulation - acceleration, braking,
shifting, and steering - but I have not been able to control the menus
without using the keyboard.  Specifically, I can't move up and down the menu
selections unless I use the arrows on the keyboard.  It's a minor
aggravation, because I have to move my keyboard onto my lap to use it when
the wheel is connected.

Does everyone using a T2 with NASCAR have to control the menus with the
keyboard?

I believe so.  Doesnt the pedals on the T2 calibrate as joy2 x-axis.
If this is the case then you cant control the menus.  I believe the
only way you can control the menus with a joystick or pedals is if
they are calibrated as joy1 y-axis.  I dont think you can control the
menu from joy2 y-axis.
Also make sure the joystick control for menus is on by press either
control-j or just j at the main screen.  You will see joystick on or
joystick off at the bottom right of the screen.

Yes, and to be frank I've never given it a second thought.  Consider
picking up some kind of keyboard shelf or articulated arm from an
office supply store and rig it up to have the keyboard kinda hovering
relatively close at hand.

Dear Ed,

I do not have a T2, so I don't know if this is a solution to your
problem or not.  I have a T1, and I use the brake and accelerator to
move up and down the menu selections.  I hope this helps some.

Mine too! Single guys are really missing out.

Use the pedals. It works for me.

It says that you can't control the menus with the wheel or pedals in both the T2 manual
and the ICR2 manual. It says you have to use the keyboard. I know that this is annoying
because you will probably just have moved your keyboard to make room for your T2 ;-)

I asked for one, didn't get one. Had to go out and buy my own. Maybe my
E-mail to Santa got lost. :-(

Ed, I *can* use the pedals, but I find it easier just to use the
keyboard.
