Info on Thrustmaster T2 steering/pedal package for IndyCar or NASCAR games wanted.

Does anyone know anything about the new Thrustmaster T2 steering wheel/pedal package?  It apparently can be used with the new IndyCar II and NASCAR racing games.

It is available for around $120 via some of the on line services.

The Thrustmast T1 package has been advertised in ON TRACK magazine during the past year as an option on the IndyCar and NASCAR games.

I'm curious if anyone has tried one and if so how well do they work.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Jack.

<snip>

I don't own a steering wheel system, but I have tried my friend's T2 on his
system.  I tried it on Surfer's Paradise in ICR2.  I only raced four laps with
it, and I struggled the first two laps (I mean, driving with a joystick felt so
natural to me).  But the last two laps, I was turning in times similar to my
joystick times.  I figure that it would've only improved even further as I got
more experience with it.

Unfortunately, I don't have the money right now to invest into a steering
wheel/pedal system yet.

My friend also uses it in NASCAR with no problems.

Jack, the T1 is the best thing that has ever been created for the racing
simulator fans.  Trust me, I had it for more than 1 year now.  You are
going to need one for the Indy2 and GP2.

Trust me on this.  I own the T1 for 1 year now, and I am going to
upgrade it to T2.  This is the best thing that has ever been created for

The T1 works very work.  It takes a hour ot two to get use to.  I don;t
see how people can play these great drving games with a joystick.  Get a
T2, it is worth every penny of it.

I got the new T2 at Circuit City for $99.  I love it.  It works great
with oth NASCAR and ICR2.  I have both games and use the wheel with no
problems what-so-ever.  I would highly recommend it.

I have been using the T1 since IndyCar I came out.  Well, I tried to
drive with the joystick for a couple of months, but that didn't cut the
mustard.  Before I took the plunge for the T1, I tried a couple of
"yoke" systems.  None of which provided the control I need for steering.

One of the advantages (besides steering control), is the ability to lead
the car with the brake (putting down force on the front wheels while
braking and steering).  This works just like the real thing in ICR1,
NASCAR & ICR2.  This is a must for working the road courses.

If you can afford it and plan to spend alot of time racing, it's well
worth the investment.

Dear Jack and other netters,

I spent my $120 and it is the best investment I hae ever made.  Need
for speed, Nascar and Indy Car racing 2 are complex and cannot be
mastered overnight.  Well worth it!

Any questions feel free to email me.

Sincerely,

Art LaBelle

Jack,

I purchased the T2 for $99 at Circuit City.  I used the T1 for about 1
month before the T2 came out.  I traded in the T1 for the T2 and
beleive me the T2 is 100% better.  The pedals having real pedals and
not rollers is so cool.  And the steering wheel is easier to grip.  I
would highly recommend the T2 if your a serious sim racer.
