I saw the ad also. They brag about how big the motor is to control the
wheel.
I would imagine that the wheel would find center and when you turn the wheel
the motor would
try to return the wheel to center. This would give you a spring effect and
can change
resistance by varying the current to the motor giving you the road feedback
effect.
Hope it works to give real handling feedback.

Is this normal for current generation FFB wheels and the new batch
coming down the pike (Actlabs, Logitech & M$)? If this is the case
