TM/Guillemot Ferrari FFB Wheel vs 360 Modena FFB Wheel?

Possibly (probably) a really stupid question but I keep seeing
references to an up and coming '360 Modena FFB Wheel' from
Guillemot/TM...does anybody know what it is and how different it is to
the current Ferrari FFB Wheel?

Since you're not getting many replies, why don't you call Thrustmaster
and ask them at 877-484-5536.  I did so a few weeks ago for more
information on their Ferrari FFB and also asked about the rumors on
the 360 Modena FFB.  At the time, I was told the 360 FFB would be a
lower priced alternative and that the Ferrari FFB would remain their
high end product, although they may have said that so I would buy a
higher priced Ferrari right away...  And so I did (after comments from
other sources as well !), I am very pleased with it.  The 360 Modena
Pro non-FFB was my second choice but I decided to shell out more $$$
for a FFB model.

thanks.  i actually got a ferrari ffb, but it's a bit stuffed...the
wheel is loose in the mounts, and getting worse.  waiting for the shop
to get me an exchange unit :(.  other than that, yeah it is a great
wheel.  toyed with the idea of opening it up and having a gander, but
decided to just exchange seeing as i can.

are you able to switch off the FFB ?

I was also looking to buy one of these
but tested at the shop with only NFS PU
so it was not a good experience,......
it fact I was all over the place with the FFB on.

For one who races GPL, I was quite taken aback
by that experience.

How many turns from lock to lock did you manage from
the wheel ?
is there a way to increase that ?

yeah you can turn the FFB off, but then why bother getting a FFB
wheel?  might as well get a 360 modena pro and save yourself the
money.  this is the only FFB wheel that I've tried (except for two
minutes on a MSFF in the shop which  I loathed (sorry MS fans)).  the
wheel is basically 1/2 turn lock to lock i think...it actually has a
220 degree arc of movement, but the last 20 degrees on either side
seems to be a dead zone.  so it's pretty much 180 degrees.  afaik,
there's no way to increase it, but i'm no expert, even in the widest
sense of the word.

that said, i thought it was a pretty nice wheel all up, but it is my
first.  apparently most people have trouble with FFB for a while, it
takes some time to get used to.  you can always turn the level of FFB
down in the control panel anyway, and i believe GPL has the most
extensive range of FFB options out of any game past or present (i
don't actually have it).  FWIW, i'm a very casual racer...my wheel
spends most of its time in midtown madness 1/2, or rally championship
which i haven't really got the hang of yet.  thinking about an F1
game, but prolly wait and see what the next crop are like.
