NEED HELP: Ferrari Wheel problem (Thrustmaster Ferrari FFB)

by Bill McBrin » Wed, 05 Nov 2003 18:20:27

Hello All!

I have myself a nice FFB wheel, without a powersupply.   That's all
that is holding me back from enjoying it and I really really would
like to use it in so many great titles like GP3/4, and LiveForSpeed,
and netKar, and NFSPU, and ..... :-D

The wheel I have is indicated at the link:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

I bought the wheel from radioshack (where I worked at the time), and
it had been a demo model, and was stuck in the back room not entirely
in its box.   Myself being a long time fan of racing and racesims, I
held off for a while, but then bought it at a deal.   I knew at the
time it did not have a PSU, that's partly why it was a deal, but
I was never able to find the PSU in the store.   Believe me, I looked!
I also have a Logitec Formula GP (non-FFB, the yellow one) which I
can use but I don't care for it as much.  But *any wheel* is better
than No Wheel.

What I Need :
------------------------

If YOU have this wheel, I would appreciate knowing the following.
The Voltage, and the Polarity of the power, and hopefully if you know
if it is a linear or small switching psu.

I can make up the power supply if I know the requirements, especially
the polarity of the power plug!

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Andy

OK, I looked at mine, and the details are:
Model: AD-2075D
Input: 230V~50Hz 158mA
Output: 20V 750ma 15VA
positive is inner
negative is outer
I'm in the UK so the input power may be different to yours.

Hope this helps, it a great wheel,
I've been using it for about a year with no major probs.
