GPL: Ferrari FFB Wheel FFB .INI settings

by Marc Collin » Tue, 18 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Anyone tweaked this thing to a good setting for GPL?

I use 100% overall gain, 100% spring gain, and 10% damping.  I am not sure
if 10% vs. 0% damping is actually making any difference, but it seems
reassuring :)

I had a wheel that was partially defective and wasted time tweaking it until
it was passable.  Now I have one that works better (note I didn't say it
works well) and would love to bypass the 3 hours of diagnostic work to get
good settings--the ones I was using no longer work well at all.

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Marc,

Sorry I haven't had a chance to answer your email yet.  I use 100% overall,
spring doesn't matter because GPL doesn't use it, so leave it at 100%,
damping 0 to 5% (depends on the track for me, but I'm a GPL novice). In GPL,
force 275, damping 5, latency... well it doesn't matter because no 2 wheels
are the same, but I use about .15 I think. I'm at work and can't look up my
core.ini files.
