Guillemot would like feedback re: Ferrari FFB wheel

by Marc Collin » Sat, 22 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Hi all,

Please respect this person's willingness to help and let's not abuse them.

Navin Sekhon, a Technical Support supervisor from Guillemot would like to
hear from people with their Ferrari wheel about one issue (for now--if we
don't***this up, they may join us here on r.a.s. which will be good for
everyone with Thrustmaster stuff, not just the Ferrari wheel owners): that
is, the dead zone at both ends of the wheel.

Please tell him:

a) whether you have the one clamp or two clamp wheel

b) if you have a physical dead zone at either end of the wheel (i.e., you
can keep turning the wheel farther than the control panel cross hair will
register or past the last point that you actually get any reaction from a
game)

c) if the resolution (or # of increments in the wheel positioning) is a
problem for you (personally, the wheel does not allow me to drive in a
straight line effectively in GPL or Rally Championship if I have the
steering ratio set sufficiently to make tight corners...I am sure it is
affecting all titles, you just notice it more in some).

c.c. r.a.s. or reply here, too, but that it is not necessary.

Thanks,

Marc.
