Yep, I have it.....not sure about Nascar 2 as I haven't played it lately but
it does work with NFS III and of course it works great with CPR and MTM2
which it ships with.  It does not slow anything down...It's the best wheel
I've owned which included two TM wheels. (Grand Prix and T2).
Mounts and dismounts like a dream...has 8 programmable buttons that are
ergonomically placed.  Floor pad is top notch....won't skid and pedals feel
good.  Uses midi port so won't transmit FF unless plugged directly into
gameport or into gameport extension.....id Joyswitch doesn't work with FF.
Also works with Interstate 76.....really any program that supports FF in
direct X.  AS of yet, GPL does not support FF. If you like MS controllers
the MS wheel is a no-brainer provided you have the two bills to part with.

I've been involved with the wheel for about 4 months now. It does not work
with N2 (reliably) and doesn't work online with N2 at all.

GPL, on the other hand, works great with the FF wheel. Even though there is
no FF programming in GPL, the resistance feature gives you a better feel of
the road. Maybe it's just me, but I can definitely "feel" the road more with
the MS FF wheel than I can with a Thrustmaster wheel.

It is alos great with CPR, MTM2, and even Motocross Madness. As Martin said,
it is a dream with any DirectX compliant game.

I'd buy one in a minute if it supports separate throttle/brake axes...
does anyone know if it does?

Anyone know when the USB version will ship? I heard that it was to
follow about a month after the joy/midiport version. The wheel has
shown up ahead of schedule, at least at the release dates I've seen,
so maybe the USB version will as well.

Another thing I was curious about for anyone with a USB *** device.
If you have a gamepad or stick hooked up to your joyport and a ***
device with USB, do you still have only one device selected in the
control panel/joystick applet? I'm assuming that you still can only
have one device setup and selected but it would be great if I could
have at least two devices to toggle between w/o having recalibrate.

Did you get the patch for N2???  I'm not sure if it is posted on the web,
yet.  If not I will send it to you.

Adam,
I have a Saitek X36 flight setup on my gamecard and a MS Freestyle gamepad
on my USB ports.  Both calibrate perfectly and work without having to
reinstall either.   Although I haven't tried with a DOS based game.  Now if
TM would release their USB wheel, I would be a happy camper.

I seem to be seeing conflicting reports about this resistance feature.
If a game doesn't support FF, is there a default amount of resistance
that can be applied to the wheel so it isn't to loose?  Another poster
mentioned something about hitting the force button in the middle to
turn some resistance on, even if the game doesn't support FF.
I understand I won't get any effects, but I don't want to have to swap
wheels if a game doesn't support FF, because my FF wheel is "sloppy".
Thanks,
Andy

The way I understand it is that games without FFB support, the wheel
can be used to provide resistance or be 'loose'. You can also program
effects to the buttons on your wheels. For instance a game like i76,
you can setup some kind of kick when weapons are fired. Hopefully
someone with the new wheel will chime in to clear it all up.

Adam,

That is the way I understand it as well.  (from most of the posts I've
read)  I am going to get one tomorrow so I'll find out then.  I'll
have 10 days to return it, that should give me enough time to decide
for myself.

Thanks,
Andy

Yes, it does. You can switch from one to the other. It also will save
different user/configuration settings.

We've got an MS wheel here at the office, and while I love the feel and
build quality if it, I can't for the life of me find where to specify
separate or combined throttle/brake axes. Could you point me in the
proper direction please?

Thanks in advance...
