J.M....

Don't run too far since Stephen has sent you off in the wrong direction!

To move the throttle and brake functions to separate axes with a MS FF wheel
do the following:

1. Open the profile that you will be using (or create a new one) using the
MS Profile Editor.
2. Select the obscure Settings tab.
3. Select the "separate" pedal option.
4. Save the profile.
5. Load the profile using the Profile Activator.
6. Adjust your controller settings in your game.
7. Enjoy the control benefits of split axes!

In addition to setting up split axes, you can also adjust "dead zone" and
pedal range of motion from the Settings tab.

The check box labeled "Map Forces From Y Axis To X Axis", found in the Game
Controller Control Panel, is used to map force feedback effects from the
Y-axis to the X-axis for games that produce Y-axis force feedback effects.
This is necessary because the MS FF wheel only detects effects that are sent
to the X-axis.

Thanks for the correction...I was re-reading and re-reading the message to
check if I had misread it...now I can get back to trying to crack that nut
they call Monty Carlo....
