Help; GPL & Voodoo 2

I took my copy of GPL to a mates house last night to try to convert him
to the cause (he never showed any interest before because it did not support
FF)
But when we installed it the menu screens where flashing and the mouse
cursor
was leaving trails all over the screen.

His system as follows

P2 350 O/C 492
2X Diamond monster V2 SLI O/C 105 latest ref. drivers 2.56
SB awe64 gold rev.16 drivers
Aopen M/B
264Mb PC100 ram

GPL1.1
teamfix
carsounds
brands

I remember hearing something about a V2 issue with GPL but don't remember
what it was or how to fix, never had any problem myself (V1).
can anybody shed any light on this problem

Thanks in advance

P.S. I was wondering how many of the serious sim racers out there
play wearing a crash helmet when there's no one there to see.

This is an old problem with the newer glide2x.dll files.

You need to get a copy of V2.53 and put it in your GPL directory.

you can get a copy at http://www.the-fastlane.com/

or use the popular glide wrapper which allows you to set refresh rates in
the mirrors.

hope this helps..

The 2.56 drivers are a little dodgey (at least for me, I get lockups
with them).  But this shouldn't be the problem with the 2.56 drivers, I
think if you turn off "force triple color buffering", this affect will
go away.

I had the same problem with my 3ooo voodoo what you have to do is go into the
3d tweaks from there click the gl mode in there turn off the force buffering
the click apply then set back to 3d mode and hit apply or ok that should solve

Thanks that fixed it, works just fine now.

and within 30 laps of Monza he douse a 1-31-92 in the Ferrari,
it took me 4 months to do that and I'm only now 8 months after buying it
getting in the 1-29's and that's only now and then.
don't it make you sick
