Is anyone using one of the above voodoo 2 cards and GPL?  I have one and it
seems to be putting dark boxes around trees & trackside objects.  I have
latest drivers from A - Trend who make the card, but I think these may just
be reference drivers.  If any one is using one of these boards please could
you let me know 'cos I have a 14 day money back guarantee which I might need
to use if not!!

All I can tell you is that I had this problem with my CL V2 card and I DL the
latest drivers, which corrected the problem.  Try DLing the drivers again and
making sure they are installed right.  I didnt install mine right at first.  Or
goto www.3dfx.com and try their drivers.

I have the same V2-card combined with my AMD K6-II/300. I've got NOT
problems described above. Maybe it's senseful to check out the reference
driver from 3dfx (www.3dfx.com) - I use this driver and it kicks ass ! <g>

Im using two Helios 12mb v2s, and 3Dfx latest drivers.
Think its glide 2.54/3.01. Downloaded from 3DFX. Also
using DirectX6. Only problem is the well known mouse-
curser-menu-graphics-prob. Small thing to me ...
Otherwise more than happy, 1024x768, very nice graphics,
lots of frames and it can even be overclocked to 105MHz with
a little help from two old fans :)
