It could be your zipped copy. Zipping up a game for archiving isn't the best
way to archive a retail copy of a game. Did you zip the directory after it
was installed? Did you zip the whole CD?
Since your dog ate the CD, why don't you jump on a filesharing program, and
download yourself a new copy of it. Get the .bin/.cue version. Rumour has it
that it won't work if you burn it to a CD, and you have to "mount" the
.bin/.cue onto your harddrive usind Daemon Tools and then install off of it.
Since you bought a copy of it, I see no harm.

Even NR2002 won't let you do this any more.
There are probably registry entries that the installer puts in that you
don't have.

I've upgraded my PC and reinstalled windows and never had to reinstall F1
2002. Maybe I was just lucky.
I heard that it is okay for F1 2002, not too sure though...
Fresh install? Yes. Overlay install? No.
-Larry
It was a fresh install. I formatted my C drive. F1 2002 was on my second
hard disk...
This means any previous registry entries made by the installer are gone.
Whether this makes a difference with _this_ particular game is something I
can't answer, but it's certainly possible. If it is affected by this, I
think you are screwed.
