GTR2002- Font size causes problems

Just a heads up for those few of you that may have changed your font sizes
from their "normal" DPI setting to some custom setting. This *will* cause a
problem with the pre-game panel of GTR2002; the panel where you set your
player name and decide on number and class of opponents. In my case the
panel was displayed missing the right side and the bottom of the panel. Of
course the right side has half of the option setting buttons on it and the
bottom has all the exit and continue type buttons on it. The only way I
could exit the screen was by ctrl-alt-del. After days of messing around with
options, video card drivers, reinstalling F1-2002 several times and
downloading GTR 3 times (thank heavens for cable :) ) , I finally picked up
a clue on the simbim forums. Reset my font DPI back to normal and now the
pre-game panel shows up as it was meant to.

Excellent game , BTW, well worth the effort it needed to get it to run. I
had F1-2002 on the hard drive but had never really got into it, mostly since
modern F1 cars tend to bore me. GTR is a real leap forward and has captured
my attention almost as much as GPL did in its heyday. Kudos to the Simbim
development team; I'll certainly be contributing to their server cost fund

Now if someone would take GTR2002 and turn it into "LeMans -1948 to present"
with all the different configurations of the track and all the cars  that
participated throughout the years :)

"David Erb" >
There are currently versions of LeMans with and without the Mulsaane
Chicanes...ANd a night version and soon a dawn and dusk version AND the
newest layout with the extra turns near the Dunlop bridge.
Nobody yet tho has come up with a version that matches the GPL
track...you are stuck with the Porche curves and the Ford Chicane for now at
least.
Check out the LM2k2 forums at Racesimcentral for the work being done by
the SSM mod guys.
(just checked the site...the SSM mod has undergone a name change to LeMans
2002.
find out about the changes at:

Hiya Commish :) Still slowly running around the tracks here. I still read
the MARA newsgroup  and glad to see you guys are keeping the flame alive.
Any chance you or the others are up for a little GTR multiplayer?

Dave

GTR2002- Font size causes problems

Just to let you know that SBDT is actively working on patch for that prob.

And I'm actively testing it. Almost there, after the second version, i will
see the menus the way they should even in 120 dpi.

I guess Daz will have finished it this week, not sure if they'll distribute
it right away though. There are work arounds and some other things worth
doing a patch for in the works.
