"playerx" on the GTR2002 forum came up with the cause (and solution) of the
all the problems many people are having with the pre game menus and movies.
The problem is caused by using large fonts in display settings in Windows.

Go to display settings and select small fonts (96 dpi). That should fix it.

There must be more than one problem then.  I am using small fonts but
still had a problem with menu corruption.  I had to go to 32 bit color
to fix the menu problem.  Anyway works fine now.  Thanks for posting
that tip.

Yeah, must be a bit annoying for people with slowish video cards that would
prefer to run in 16-bit.  Some guy posted a patch on the Simbin forum but it
seems to cause more problems than it solves.

Well I tested the 3dsetup with 16 and 32bit with my gf3 ti 200.  There was
very little difference.  VERY little difference.  I was suprised.  try 32bit
it's not a bogger like I had thought.

Yeah, 32 bit is OK for most DDR cards.  The SDR cards like the GF2MX really
suffer though.
