GTR2002 is a mod for F12002 to convert it to a sports car game. As far as
websites go check the forums at www.simbin.com for more info.
As for not being a modern F1 fan goes I can agree 100% with that. However I
just picked up F12002 since the price drop to $19.99 and must say its pretty
cool. I too was afraid the game wasn't going to be any fun for me. I was
pleasantly surprised last night as I ran a offline race at the A1 ring last
night and had a real fun time. The best part was my team didn't order me to
pull over and let Schumacher win. Of course the fact I was in a Jag probably
had something to do with it. Of course a Jag winning a race shows how
unrealistic it is. :)

It will follow in the footsteps of the FIA GT V3 in recreating the European
FIA GT Championship (www.gtracing.net) in all its glory and splendor. It
has extremely refined physics, very high detail models, and a total
reworking of the original game from UI to environment mapping.
If you like V3 you're going to freak out over GT Racing 2002. (dropping the
FIA connotation for potential legal reasons). If you hated V3, you're still
going to download GTR2002 so you can say with certainty that it still isn't
as good as GPL :rolleyes:.

Because of the low grip settings they chose for V3, I would venture to
say, the most GPL-like driving now is from the V3 mod. It just doesn't
slide as well due to the rotten tire model.(not V3's fault but the core
f12k1 engine){since rectified in F12k2}
