OT System / CPU for GPL/N4 ???

Do some research on overclocking before discarding that CPU.  You may
very well be able to achieve some satisfying results on the relative
cheap just by overclocking that Celeron and installing a 3dfx Voodoo3
card.  They should be coming down a bit once the Voodoo5s really hit
the street in large quantities.  We may start finding Voodoo2s in
boxes of corn flakes at this rate. <g.

OT System / CPU for GPL/N4 ???

I'm going to be upgrading my PII 450 with using an Iwill Slocket II  -
FC-PGA to Slot 1 converter card that has allows for voltage adjustment to
support a Coppermine PIII or Celeron 2 with my motherboard.

Given the price  (about $25 for slocket), I'll be going for a Celeron 566,
running at 100 MHz front side bus, overclocked to 850 MHz.  While it doesn't
match a PIII 850 in performance (probably more like a PIII 700), it's a
cheap upgrade that might be good enough for N4 (I hope).
