I am getting somewhat better results (24-30 fps) on my PPro system (overclocked
to 233, Herc Thriller 3d 8mb-overclocked, running Fastvid as well). However I
am wondering if the Pentium II Overdrive chip for PPro would make matters any
better.
If the game is so dependent on L2 Cache, then I would think it would be a very
wise investment. Considering that not only would one be going up to 512k cache
(from 256k), but it would also be running at the 333Mhz chip speed (not half).
Seeing that the prices for this Pentium II Overdrive are finally starting to
come down. I may consider trying out one of these in the upcoming weeks. I'll
post my findings if I do.
