Hello,
I read one time on how to set the graphics on GP2 for maximum
performance but do not remember how to do it. Any help would be
appreciated.

The method you are referring to more than likely won't work with the
Intense 3D. The theory was that you set the frame rate to about 2 fps
less than the "projected" frame rate. However, GP2 bases this on the
VGA performance of the card and the Intense (and other Rendition cards)
"suck" in straight VGA performance. I would suggest setting the frame
rate to a point where you get about 82% CPU occupancy on the starting
grid. This should give a fair balance for the way GP2 speeds up and
slows down based on CPU occupancy.

The technique I used was to set the game at two FPS less
than the graphic options menu recommends. That allowed me
to run every course but Monaco at about 20 FPM on my P6/200.
The PO would rarely go above 100%, but it would spike above
that some times, but not bad enough for me to notice any
problem.
I ran Monaco at about 18 FPS. This was visibly "notchier",
but I could still enjoy myself.
I ran with full detail, except for no sky or mirror details.
The cars in the mirrors would seem to float in a blue field,
but that didn't bother me.
Anyway, I finally have a new motherboard with a new, and
upgradible, BIOS. I'm hoping this will allow me to run my
Pure 3D, and I'll be moving on to Ubi's simulator.
