| I think the 'freeze' is GPL hiding the ZA screen asking you if you want to
| allow access for GPL to the internet... If you 'allow connect' and 'allow

If the game allows it you just press alt+tab and you will see ZA
asking if you want to allow x program to connect to the ineternet.
Select yes and then it will run fine with ZA. Personally I disable ZA
while playing online games because ZA does take up some resources.

I was also unable to use GPL with Zone Alarm. If you find a solution,
please tell us!
Because of that I am now using Tiny Personal Firewall. It is also
free and also put your computer in stealth mode. And yes, it works
with GPL.
If you absolutely want to keep ZA, you could just disable it when you
play GPL online and activate TPF just for that purpose.

Let GPL launch, hit ctrl, alt, del and close GPL. The dialogue box will then
be visible.
