% I want to race GPL in VROC. I am brand new to all this so please

% modems and tried to 'add' it but when it asked for the *.inf file, My
% CD had all kinds of *.inf files but none would take. In my Network
% {in control panel} show everything needed for my connection etc.

First thing to do is open the Control Panel -> Internet and under
Connection uncheck the box "Connect to the Internet as needed". I
believe that if this is checked, GPL will attempt to make a DUN
connection when it starts multi-player mode.
Next you need a core.ini file in your GPL folder (see the readme.txt
file for GPL) with the following 2 lines:
[Communications]
alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1
You now will want to use TCP/IP for you connection options in GPL for
racing on the Internet.
