How do you do VROC with a cable modem?

by =Gunslinge » Thu, 01 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I have a cable modem, after going to VROC, installing all the proper
software, I click on join (for an open game) and then when GPL starts
I go to multi-play. i see the game to join, but can't join. I don;t
have serial modem connection. My modem uses an network card. There is
no choice for a direct connect..

Any ideas?

Put the following 2 lines in a Core.INI file in the GPL directory:

[Communications]
alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1

And next time, save yourself some hassle and read the readme file! ;-)
