F1 2002 physics rate?

by Chris von Segger » Sun, 22 Sep 2002 10:56:12

I've seen several threads that described a physics rate setting for F1 2002,
but am unable to find any mention of this in the manual or in the config
screens.  Can anybody tell me where/how to adjust this?

Thanks,

Chris

In the main F1 2k2 folder is another folder called SAVE.  And inside
that will be a folder with the files for your sim driver.  So if you named
your sim driver Chris v that would be the folder.  Now inside THAT folder
are several files...one is the Chris v.plr file.  This is a big text file
that contains the settings for your driver.  Things like which driving aids
you have enabled, which races you've run, how many laps you have completed.
You can open this file by double clicking on it or by starting NOTEPAD
and loading it just like a printed page.
Near the top of this file is a section called:
{Driving Aids}
scroll down this group til you find this line:

Half Rate="1" // 0 = super-high physics rate, 1 = normal

the value to change is: Half rate="1"
change that to Half rate="0"

  yer done!

Aah, many thanks.  I'd assumed it was exposed in the interface, which is why
I was baffled.  I appreciate the help.

The bumps are cool in F12k2. I didn't know this had anything to do with it
however.
