f1 2002 - how to check frame rate?

Looked for it in the skinny pamphlet that came with the CD. How to check?
I have a P4 1500 with a Nvidia GeForce 2 Ultra with 64mb and a Santa Cruz Turtle
Beach. Have the latest drivers for each and the game seems boggy. I mainly have
been racing GP3 and GP4 and with full detail, get a good 23-24 fps there (same
as the movie projectors give you at the theater). F1 2002 seems slower, but I'm
curious how you all can tell how many fps you're getting.
