--I mostly race in a league but since N4 came out I jumped into a few
pick up races and I cannot believe what is going on out there.

--Someone thinks you took their line next chance they get they hit
you.  And since N4 is working on 50% gravity that's a problem.

--I've mostly avoided this vigilante stuff (as I tend to sandbag until
only the real racers ae left running.) but still the cursing is off
the hook.  I like to curse as much as the next guy but not online
WHILE I'm DRIVING; no wonder these guys spend so much time in the
wall!

--Tell someone you're going high, they block you.

--Can't wait for my Wed Night League.

I hear ya!  It has gotten so bad that they tell ya they will wreck the
leader if they can.  One out of every three pickup races has a wall
rider...it's way out of control.  I have got to find a league..can someone
recommend any or is it too late.

Hopefully, the ranking system will eventually provide some degree of
screening.

That's why I like league so much, hard to find decent pickup races. Nothing
can beat a good league with good drivers.

The problem is, they do nothing.
And THAT is wrong.

Marc, I was up to a 4 rating in SS with a LPI of 389... I was in a 3-10
rated
race then I had a warped car {going into turn1-lap1} in the middle of my car
{out of nowhere} I crashed, got booted out of the race + lost 2 rating
points.
Why? Tia.. Cheers Thom_j.
P.S. Yes in the past 2 weeks I went from great races to DemoDerbys now!

wrote wonderful things about sparkplugs:

OK example.  Martinsville.  60mph in the apex of a turn.  From behind
Mark Martin slams into the back of my car.  Let's say he's full on the
gas at 120mph;  my car is NOT going to flip over.  Certainly not TAIL
OVER NOSE!

THe flipping is silly.

Lappers Blocking, slower staying in the low line, Rail-Runners, and these
FRIGGIN bozo's who feel it is their right to pull up from the infield right
in front of traffic because they spun out and were 'inconvienced' and
delayed are truly frustrating.

Oh, and those that prefer to use the 'smash right through' method of
avoiding wrecks instead of carefully braking and steering around really set
me free.  I can't believe how many times I've been able to brake/steer and
(rather skillfully, I must say) avoid a massive wreck only to be ass-ended
by someone doing 200mph who never even bothered to let up.

We are starting to get to that phase.  I know for the last two weekends I've
been racing on the high-skill brick-onecall server that cycles Daytona and
Talladega, and it's been far more reasonable and fun.

Man, there are a couple of guys pulling out _unreal_ qual times there.

You guys are complaining about shit that's been happenning in Nascar
online racing since the first day that TEN was available.  Sadly, if you
want something close to a guarantee that your online racing is going to
be clean, you MUST join a league.

I've seen all the ***you guys are listing in this thread, and it's
just one of those deals.  It's not ever going to be like GPL because a)
GPL isn't widely available any longer, b)GPL is always difficult to
learn (no "arcade" realism/physics), and c) the crowd attracted is
generally younger than it is for GPL.

Have you noticed that the majority of races are beginning to show up as
password-protected?  The online childishness of the rogue/clueless
drivers is the cause.

It's never gonna change, so join a league.

So how do you get in a good league if you're not a good driver(read: slow)?

Sadly John is correct.. I enjoy all type online racing and many other forms
of racing online do and do not have the "childish" activities going.. Bottom
line: a} Yes, join a league to avoid this, b} password races Or c} just try
to find the best open races you can but this will be a "crap-shoot" at
best..
I don't mind any of the 3 but I just enjoy the race and "yes" even with the
"juvenile hot-heads" that scream, curse and even try to crash into you on
purpose. This sux but I just let it go and move on to the next race.. jmho
Cheers Thom_j.

Eldred,
There's lots of leagues out there, and I'm sure more forming. Might want to
keep an eye out on Jacob's general discussion forum, that's where most are
posting. Just post there what nights you might be interested in , and I'm
sure you'll get some replies.
