N4 & road tracks - Poor man's WSC or nobody home?

by Jchar » Sun, 11 Mar 2001 08:35:09

Hey all,

I haven't picked up N4 yet but am starting to consider it after all these
raves.  I was really into GPL, but now only occasionally race online.  WSC
can't come soon enuogh as far as I'm concerned.  Here's my question.  I know
that Nascar races on 2 road tracks and wonder if anybody actually races
these online.  With the improved physics it could almost be like a poor
man's WSC.  Are there any more road tracks available for N4 as well?

I tend to race late at night and I remember the only open races with N3 were
usually at Talledega and never on a road course.  If it's still like that
than I probably wouldn't buy it and just stay with GPL and pray for early
release for WSC.

Thanks in Advance

Jcharm

Yup, N3, N4 AND Nascar Heat see very little road racing.  I might point
you
to the tptcc league at the uspits.com.  They race a patched N3 still but use
many differnt tracks like the Oring and the OLD Glen.  If road racing is
your forte...these guys run both
offline and a weekly online league.  I'm sure they also will eventually
migrate to N4.

I think with the warping,over-stated reaction to nudging, and eratic
driver's, the road courses of N-4 would be more pain than pleasure
online.......
Just my Opinion

Have Red Rocks and Bull Run been ported over to N4?  I
am passable on the Glen but Sear's Point is a very exhausting
track to drive since there isn't any sort of long straight where
you can relax for a moment.  I liked RR and LOVED Bull Run.
