I have installed the game,,,,(no prob)
and the latest drivers 23.11
restarted and still during the
F1 2001 config operation it says no DX 8 video adapter found.
I have installed Direct X 8.1a so we should be fine there.

Is the M64 pro Not DX 8 compatable.???

Help I want to race  big time....

I'm running a riva tnt2 m64 (not the pro model) with F1 2001. But I have to
say it's a really crappy card it seems as far as race sims go. N4, GPL, F1
2001 all look great....but fps is the shits. Turning things off or down gfx
wise doesn't make much of a difference and DTR and DTRSC i have to run in
software mode as the fps is so bad in d3d (looks great just bad fps). So bad
that it's undriveable. So I suggest you do like I am and save your money for
a better version of teh GF2 card.

I used to get that error when I tried to run 3dMark 2001 untill I increased
my agp apperature to 128 in my bios.
