Isn't it strange that on every game the 21.81 or 21.85 drivers are MUCH
better than the others and that for F1 2001 apparently the best choice is
the 12.41 ?

Any comments ? Is it because you have to run F1 2001 in a window to get good
FPS ? 'that says a lot about the quality of the programming by the
way...they are not even able to use the ressources of a single mode
programming)

Besides that any news about the FF patch ? I have been trying to "defend"
F1RC for some time, so now is the time for me to join the mass and whine non
stop about the "imperfections" of the game...

besides that you can get ALL  (from5.31 until 21.85) the drivers at the
follwing URL

You mean 'flaws.'  Frankly, this isn't the game we'll be playing 6-12 months
from now.  People really are getting carried away with this one...

That's what i think too but I really don't understand what's the "hype"
about this unfinished game, people were SCREAMING about F1RC' AI and
internet play (btw internet play using relay works fine now) and what about
EA's internet play ?

I've no idea about multiplayer/internet play - that doesn't interest me.

I know for sure that despite some 'imperfections', F1 2001 has a lot going
for it, and I for one will be using it in 6-12 months time. Unless of course
something better (F1RC2, GP4?) comes along to change my mind. For now, it's
the best.

I'm a little surprised to hear everyone keep saying they are running it in a
window.  I'm certainly not.  I'm getting a good 50 fps in training and
playable frame rates in races too.  That's with 10.80 drivers which i've
been using for ages and work with everything.

I have found the game to be extremely jerky in 32-bit colour, but I just run
it in 16-bit.

I compared F1RC and F12001 back to back yesterday. F1RC has shit AI
and a ***driving model, graphics look like a cartoon arcade game in
comparison to F12001. F12001 has a few rough edges, but the series
will get better as time goes on just like EA has done for everyone of
their sports games. Unless Papy does an F1 sim you won't find anything
better.

F12001 has a few rough edges, ...

This is the understatement of the month for sure....

Bollocks. Compared to other recent F1 sims it's a diamond in the
rough.

I can't dare thinking what we would have heard if ANYBODY released a sim
without FF....come on !!!

I've already made a complaint about that here in this forum. Now I'll
wait for a patch. Just to put things into perspective though, F1RC was
released with broken AI and has still never been  patched six months
later, GP3 had many problem on release, including no other car sounds,
took them almost a year to patch that with the GP3 2000 release that
they didn't even make available to NA.

P.S. The FFB in F1RC is a joke and they may as well left it out for
all the good it does.
