F1-2001 seems to have problems with my LWFF when in split-axis mode. When I
try and change the controller configuration (i.e. set up steering,
accelerator, brake, etc) it doesn't seem to recognise any movement from the
controllers. It works fine when I go back to combined axis mode.
Is this at all related to another odd problem I seem to have: When I examine
the game controller properties for my LWFF in Win2k, the accelerator and
brake indicator needles are at half way before I move the controller ONLY if
it is set as split-axis. I don't remember having this problem with a
previous LWFF driver.
Another issue: The game didn't seem to work with nVidia ref driver 21.83 for
me (although all other games I've tried seem to have no problems with it).
With 21.83, the game is fine until I'm actually "sitting" in the car, at
which point the screen goes black (other than for a coloured point at the
top left of the screen) and seems to hang Win2k.
Also, are the any recommendations for deadzone/sensitivity settings? I have
set the deadzone to 0 using DXtweak, and also the controller deadzone to 0
in the game's configuration options. However, there still seems to be a bit
of a deadzone when I'm playing. Someone mentioned being able to change the
steering lock as part of the car set up, but I haven't found this option
anywhere in the game . . .
Thanks for all replies!
Ryan
