    After turning on the help menu thingy, I seen that you have to join a
race that is set up to keep statistics.  So, how do I know what races are
what?

    next, Although I understand the concept of rankings from the old TEN
system,  Is there a place that explains everything to the new driver?  And
is there a place where I can get detailed information on my rankings?

I am not sure what exactly you are looking for as far as detailed
information but try this.

Highlight your name in chat and hit the P beneath it.  That will pull up
your profile.  Now hold down the shift and ctrl button at the same time,
that will show you a little bit more info about your stats.  Such as the
last 10 races you have run in each catagory, how many races you have won,
laps, etc

        I took a tour of the Multiplayer system looking at the pop up
windows for each item.  There is two questions though..

1. "Series", What is this referring to?  Is it referring to a league that
might be running on that server? or is there another concept to this?

2. Under the "players" list, the list that shows who is in that chat room,
What are the letters "P, W, I, M"?  They are grayed out and there is no pop
up window for them.

    I also checked out all the hosting options and found other options in
the "players" window, and ect..  The above questions are the only things
that I don't understand or don't know anything about.

    Unfortunately there hasn't been *any* servers setup to get a rank.  Any
case, Thanks for the help with the profile section :-)

Series will be expanded on later.  I can only assume that they will be
adding CTS and BGN

P = Profile
W = Whisper
I = Invite
M = Muzzle

The host can specify that only certain ratings are allowed to join, and one
of the columns shows what ratings are allowed.  The only two I've seen so
far are "0" and "0-10".  From this I assume that 10 is the highest ranking,
a race rated "0" allows anyone with a rating of 0 or higher to join, and a
race rated "0-10" would allow everyone to join as well.  I'm assuming if the
host specifies "7" that anyone rated 7 or higher could join.  I would also
guess that you could setup a race for "0-4" to eliminate high-rated players.
(I'm not sure anyone will do this, but I'm also not sure how else you'd
increase your rating if you're sitting at 4 and most of the races want
7-10.)

Other things people have found make it certain that they've prepared for
both Busch and truck series later.

Profile, Whisper, Invite, Muzzle, they're grayed out until you select a
player

    I got everything figured out as seen in other posts.  The only thing I
see as wrong is that you have to highlight a name in order to get the
rankings of an individual.  That's harder then hell because when someone
joins and/or leaves the chat room, The players list jumps up to the top.
And there's probably an average of 10 people per second doing this.  It took
me one hell of a long time between bringing the scroll bar down to my name
and when I was finally able to select my name.  bummer.

    next questions...

    When I finally was able to sellect my name in the Players list and click
the "P" I was able to see my rankings.  Holding the shift and CTRL button
while viewing my rankings I get another set of figures next to each of these
rankings.  I can only assume they are ranks for each track(?)  If so, What
are the order of tracks from left to right?

    What about these figures?  I have a score or rank next to these but I
have no idea what they mean...

RR=X
RC=X
LA=X
LC=X
IC=X

    Last..  Maybe I'll find the answer in the above list but...  LPI on TEN
used to calculate touching the wall as a hit as well as bumping (bump
drafting) as another hit.  Then also if you were hit multiple times such as
in a big pile up, that got scored as many hits for the same lap.  and ect..
ect..  So, What is calculated with in the LPI?  Or, what constitutes as a
hit?

    What I need and I'm sure it'll help many others... What is scored and
how is it scored to give you a Rank on the new N4 system?

All those numbers show the last 10 (or however many numbers there are) races
that you ran and the scores you got for them.

RR = Races Run
RC = Races Completed
LA = Laps Attempted
LC = Laps Completed
IC = Incidents

I noticed that too, Mike, I usually like to highlight a friends name when
we're racing so I can tell if he's made it back to chat quickly or not, it's
tough just to find a name, much less highlight one! Love N4, tho......

Actually, there have been from the start.  ALL of the Papy servers have
rankings.

Unfortunately, Rankings went down last Friday, and were out all weekend.

That's why all you saw were 'X's in the column :(

Speaking of Rankings, they appear to be back up.

But I'm not sure this is a good thing.  I came in 3rd in a Daytona that had
some 30 + racers.  I had a little damage.

I LOST 118 points ?

Methinks some adjustment is necessary...

I think he would like the same thing I would...

A document or web page that explains, in detail, the points system and the
damage points system...

This is a bona-fide bug that has got to be fixed.

Selecting a name is nearly impossible right now.
