Sorry, couldn't participate. Saw you were only a couple of guys.
Don't feel bad, Eldred, we will try to make the next one. I want to beat
Jan again. :-)

I'm getting disappointed.  The Indy race(Sunday) only had 3 drivers.  We still
ran it, but with only 3 cars the results are worthless, IMO.  Same thing
happened for the Road Atlanta race, but we called it off.  I guess this fishin'
hole is all fished out... :(

Don't think so... I believe several factors conspired here (brainfade being
the one on my part ;-)). Timing/tracks/natural tendency to move away from PC
based entertainment in view of the real arrival of spring (at least over
here), whatever...

Personally, I'd like to see GP's continued to be scheduled. I run these
races to challenge myself, so wether 3 or 20 start doesn't make much
difference to me. Perhaps some tighter organisation (in the form of a
mailing list?) and wider publicity (other sim-related forums) might help.

Re: the Indy 225. I don't think the result is worthless. All participants
contested the race. I.e. no quarter was asked nor given. You won that race
on merit, IMO. The only people who "handed" us the podium were those not
present.

Hear, hear!

I want to compete in another GP. It's just that the scheduling has been
tricky. I haven't really tried very hard to be able to join these last
two, as I dislike Indy and have graphics trouble (and a slight dislike)
with RA.

Schedule one more please?

Eldred, I'd love to see these continue, even though I havn't yet attended
one. I actually intended to make Indy but, well, was too tired after getting
up early to see the Monaco GP.

Give it another shot or two and see if we can't drum up more interest.

Ok, thanks - I guess I'll post the results, then...  Maybe people just like the
original tracks better...  We still have Monaco, Mosport, Rouen, Spa, and
Watkins left.
Do you happen to have the newspaper from the race?  Stupid game didn't save it
on my system... :(

Oh, no.
As you know, I didn't have the Indy track.
The road atlanta race was just a bit too late since I had to be
in the office early today. (And I don't even know the track well
enough to complete 10 laps at a reasonable pace.)
Original or downloadable tracks in the weekends should still give a
catch or twol.

No, I -totally- missed the announcement of this race.. I knew about
the Indy race, but skipped it since I wanted to watch the Monaco GP.
I'd like to have joined RA since it's a great track, but seriously, I
didn't know anything about this one :(

Please do continue.. I'll try and make it the next time.
I might be the only one, but I'd like to race a full GP on some of the new
tracks, the original ones have been driven to death ;)
A full lenght GP at Crystal Palace should give us plenty of action all
through the race !
Or Halle or maybe Brands Hatch

This has probably been suggested before...

Why not use one of the egroups type of dealies? Just for their ability to
do mass emails. Whoever wants to sign up, feel free (these are still open
races, yes?) Then Eldred just uses it to mail out the GP race
announcement. No pressure, no league, no stats, just lots of informed
racers that sometimes miss r.a.s. announcements.

Yeah, there were a couple people in Vroc chat who didn't have the track...  I
may try another one in late June or early July.  We'll see what hapens...

Based on what I've heard from people who've hosted, a Crystal Palace race would
be total carnage...<g>
